Understanding Car Down Payments
How much are your down payments?
Most of our down payments are between $800 to $1500 when you have over 11 months on your current full time job with paystub and meet our other minimum requirements. If you don't meet our minimum requirements, your down payment can be higher. It is probably best to give us a call and we can tell you How to Qualify for what vehicles are available and what their down payments will be AND we can tell you what SPECIALS we have at this time.
Why do I need a down payment?
Simply stated, down payment is GLUE to a buy here pay here deal. It helps to keep a deal together. Down payment shows us that you are serious enough to commit to paying a loan that you are willing to put up your hard earned money as down payment in order to finance your vehicle purchase. People should look at down payment as a GOOD THING. It reduces the term of the loan and you then pay it off quicker! Down payment shows commitment and that you are dedicated to the purchase and that you intend to make your payments.
How do I get the Best Down Payment?
To get the best down payment:
• You must have 11+ months on your current full time job with paystub
• You must meet the minimum income requirements for the vehicle you are buying
• You must be able to afford your payment
• You must have a N.C. Drivers License
• You must live in the Charlotte market area (no out of state deals)
• Previous bankruptcies OK (must be discharged or dismissed)
What if I have NO DOWN PAYMENT?
If you have no down payment, you can use our Free Layaway Plan!
TO QUALIFY FOR A PAYMENT:
You must make enough income to be able to afford a vehicle and its payment. The following chart gives you a guideline to use to determine if you can afford your payment:
A minimum $250 per week average take home pay can qualify you for a $70 per week payment
A minimum $300 per week average take home pay can qualify you for a $80 per week payment
A minimum $350 per week average take home pay can qualify you for a $90 per week payment
A minimum $400 per week average take home pay can qualify you for a $100 per week payment
A minimum $450 per week average take home pay can qualify you for a $105 per week payment
If you do not qualify for a particular payment because your income is too low for our guidelines, then you can just use a higher down payment to overcome this issue.
